  • Notes
  • Transporta portable transistor radio kitsets were designed by Radio, TV & Hobbies magazine and used components supplied by various vendors advertising in the magazine. There were six kitset designs from 1958 to 1963. Printed circuit boards were manufactured by RCS Radio of Sydney.

The Transporta 7 for 64 was designed by Jamieson Rowe.

This set was described in December 1963 issue of Radio TV & Hobbies.

It was a 7 transistor superhet with RF stage. A list of transistors available from a variety of transistor manufactures was provided so the constructor could choose which transistors to use. The list is present in this model page in the schematics section.

This radio used a plastic cabinet and printed circuit board supplied by RCS Radio Pty.
