The DAE is a direction finder, It is a superhet receiver covering 240 to 2000 kHz. The direction-finder loop is separate from the receiver for installations aboard ship. The input is from a loop and sense antenna. The output to headphones is 600 ohms. A BFO is provided for CW reception but no AVC is available. Model DAE-1 consists of CRM-46153 Radio Receiver and CRM-69074 Loop Assembly.
