- Most probably this is very similar to 4222 for Jaguar Automobiles - see there for a schematic. That information for the 4222 comes from Sam's, where Smith&Sons is called the manufacturer. It uses a slightly different first Detector/Osc. valve. Emitron is a brand name used by Smith&Sons for export models to N & S America. Control unit only, requires seperate unit such as units B, D or E which provide last IF, Det, AF amp & PSU. Also this model 4220 was together with the E model IF & AF amplifier.
