Para este modelo de radio, que originalmente usa una bateria de 4 volts "RCA VS-149", la misma tiene un tamaño igual a una pila "AA", para su reemplazo, ya que no se fabrica más, uso con excelente resultado al ser del mismo tamaño y tension compatible una bateria recargable "UltraFire 14500 de 3,7 volts", con la ventaja de ser recargable, cargada a full tiene una tension de 4 volts.
