The AVR-5-A is a 5-band radio sold commercially as an airport receiver. The coverage of the five bands is as follows.

A: 530 - 1500 kHz
B: 1500 - 4000 kHz
C: 3.6 - 10 MHz
D: 7.6 - 18 MHz
This receiver has eight controls, which include: Band switch, Tuning, Volume, AVC on off, Sensitivity, Tone/Power on off, Phones-Speaker switch, and CW Osc on off (beat frequency oscillator).
