This radio seems to use the rx and tx modules from the RCA AN/ARC-97 UHF relay set, which was used by the US Navy aboard the P2V and P3 aircraft for automatic UHF comm relay service.
The transmitter actually has 5 valves, the fifth, a driver for the 6263, is on the other side of the module, and is a smaller pencil tube, the RCA 7554
I have a few examples of the ARC-97 and will post pictures, it contains two TX modules and two RX modules, along with a power supply modules, switching, and blower.
