  • Notes
  • With this instrument it is possible to locate sources of noise in audio circuits, determine cause of inoperative amplifiers, and locate the source of audio oscillation. In addition, it will measure power output in watts, a-f, a-c and d-c voltages, over-all gain, gain per stage, impedance, capacity, and resistance. It will supply fixed audio frequencies. It may be used to check phase inverter circuits, power supply units, microphones, phonograph pick-ups, and numerous components in the sound system.

The Audio Chanalyst, which is housed in a metal case, consists essentially of two calibrated amplifiers, a permanent magnet speaker with associated amplifier, an audio-frequency oscillator and an ex-tremely sensitive electronic voltmeter. All controls and indicator devices are mounted on the front panel, easily accessible for operation.
