- Notes
-
The Quicktracer transistor / diode checker is for testing components still soldiered on a circuit board. This is an accessory item designed to be used with an oscilloscope. When connected to an oscilloscope it is a convenient means for checking all semiconductors except FETs. It can even check many values of resistance and capacitance. The only differences between A and B models is the way WC-528 components are mounted. Quicktracer provides horizontal and vertical signals for almost any oscilloscope since bandwidth is not important. It’s operation is based on the idea that when a semiconductor fails catastrophically, the junctions are either open or shorted.
