  • Notes
  • The RCA Victor model A-23 is a 5-tube table radio covering standard broadcast and the 31, 25 and 19 meter shortwave bands. The model A-23 was originally released (1st Production) with a 5" permanent  magnet speaker. The plate voltage of the 6K6 output tube was set at 235V. This allowed it to produce a clean output of 2 watts. RCA then released the A-23 (2nd Production) with a 5" electrodynamic speaker and reduced the plate voltage to 175V, thereby reducing the clean output to 1.25 watts.
