  • The RCA X552 is a AC/DC operated 5 tube BC band receiver.  Has phono input jack.  Uses Qty(2) type 47 dial lamps. Cabinet color is Ivory.

    The BC band frequency range is 540 to 1600kHz.

    Early production models used a 500Kohm volume control, which was changed to a 1 Megohm volume control on late production models.  The schematic used for model X552 is the same as is used on model X551 (Which uses chassis RC-1089B). Both models are shown in SAMS Photofact set 129 folder 9 from April 1951.
