  • The Rogers Cadet series of amplifiers consisted of three main versions: Cadet, Cadet II, and Cadet III.

    The Cadet II, introduced in 1962, was the stereo successor to the original Cadet. 
    Key features of the Cadet II include:

    • Power output: 6.5 watts per channel (though it claimed 12.5 watts)
    • Valves: Amplifier: Four ECL86 tubes, Pre-Amp: 2x ECC83.
    • Design: Separate control unit and power amplifier sections
    • Inputs: Radio, disc (limited to ceramic cartridges), and tape
    • Controls: Volume, balance, bass, treble, and mono/stereo selection
    • Total harmonic distortion: Approximately 0.2% at 4 watts
    • Internal wiring: Neat, with no PCB or tag board used & components strung between pillars fitted to the chassis
