    Design and Construction:

The Mk2 featured a brushed brass and matte black front panel with ivory control knobs adorned with brass inserts. It utilized vacuum tube technology, as was common for high-end audio equipment of the early 1960s.

    Market Position:

Priced at £35, the Master Mk2 was positioned as a premium product in the British hi-fi market. It competed with other high-end preamplifiers of the time, such as those from Radford.

    Historical Context:

The Master Mk2 was part of Rogers' product line during a transitional period in audio technology. It was produced during the early years of stereo, which became widely available in 1958. The Mk2 offered more extensive features compared to some competitors, including multiple tape inputs, which was an advanced feature for its time.

    Legacy:

The Master Mk2 had a relatively short production run, from 1962 to 1969. Despite its advanced features, it seems to have lived in relative obscurity compared to some contemporaries. Rogers did not offer a direct solid-state successor to the Master Mk2, instead focusing on integrated amplifiers like the Ravensbourne and Ravensbrook in the late 1960s
