The MR-999, is a quarter-track stereo recorder with a 6 watts per channel amplifier and two external 12 x 8 inch speaker enclosures.
Inputs were provided for a magnetic cartridge and microphone and line.
Features included a 7″ spool capacity, three speeds, sound on sound, sound with sound, automatic shut-off, separate volume controls for each channel, twin VU meters, and push-button transport controls.
The recorder was supplied with two microphones with stands, a reel of 7″ tape, an empty spool, speed-change capstan sleeve, rubber reel retainers for vertical use, splicing tape, and patch cords.Specifications
