This model uses one 9V battery and the back indicates "Made in Singapore" or "Made in Hong Kong". It's almost identical to model RP5040A which uses four AA batteries and doesn't indicate any "Made in....". The back of both models has an oval with two letters (US). The meaning of these letters is unknown.
