  • Notes
  • The Sanyo Plus P55 FET Stereo Power Amplifier was rated at 100 watts per channel. The amplifier used LED peak power indicators. Also two P55 amplifiers could also be operated in "strapped mono mode" (bi-amped/bridged) to to achieve 200 watts per channel. The P55 heat sinks were filled with FREON to dissipate the heat that was generated.

The Plus Series of components were black in color but sometimes the European models were a silver color.

The P55 amplifier was usually paired with the C55 stereo preamplifier and the T55 digital stereo AM/FM tuner.

Most of the individual components came with detachable side brackets to enable rack mounting.

Between 1979 and 1982 Sanyo produced the "Plus Series" of audio components.
