Disco-Self 1927

Engineer E.Binard (S.I.B.) is the original designer of the "Disco-Self" tuning coils in 1920. From 1922 on Mr.Binard worked for S.B.R. and brought his coil design with him.
There are 6 variants (generations) of these coils in the S.B.R. era. They differ by their appearance, size and the presence of a encapsulation.

• The 1922 variant is not encapsulated and exists in different induction values with a number code each: SB000, SB00, SB0, SB1, SB2, SB3, SB4, SB5, SB6, SB7, SB8, SB9, SB10, SB11, SB12, SB13, SB14, SB15, SB16, SB17, SB18, SB19, SB20, SB21, SB22. There is a list where each number corresponds to a wavelength range.

• The 1924 variant is encapsulated and exists in different induction values with a number code each: There is no list known at this date.

• The 1925 variant is encapsulated and exists in different induction values with a number code each: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. There is a list where each number corresponds to a wavelength range.

• The 1927 variant is encapsulated, has 12 cm diameter, and exists in different induction values with a number code each: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. There is a list where each number corresponds to a wavelength range.

• The 1928 variant is encapsulated, has 10 cm diameter, and exists in different induction values with a number code each: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. There is a list where each number corresponds to a wavelength range.

• The 1928 "Aéroselfs" variant is not encapsulated and exists in different induction values with a number code each: 15, 25, 35, 50, 60, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300. These codes correspond to the number of turns on the coil.
