In Rider's 5 there is information for the follower, 1708-A on page 5-61 (schematic) and 5-62 (different layout) with tubes 6A7 (mixer and osc), 2 x 78 (IF), 37 (2nd det), 37 (AF), 42 (output) and 83V. Sears catalog #167 Fall & Winter 1933/34 shows a model 1708 and 1709 with the following tubes: 6A7, 2 x 78, 75, 37, 2 x 45 and 5Z3.
