    In Rider's volume 4 we find a Sears model 1709 on pages 4-10 (layout), 4-12 (schematic), 4-13 (circuit notes) and 4-14 (speaker data) for tubes 78 (RF stage), 6A7 (mixer), 78 (IF), 37, 75 (AF), 2 x 45 (output) and 80. Sears catalog #167 Fall & Winter 1933/34 shows a model 1708 and 1709 with the following tubes: 6A7, 2 x 78, 75, 37, 2 x 45 and 5Z3. It is mainly the schematic of the 1708 (page 4-11 (schematic) in a console cabinet with two loudspeakers.
