The Sears Silvertone 1720 is an AC operated 10 tube BC band receiver. Has push-pull output stage with parallel 45 type tubes on each side for a total of Qty(4) output tubes.
The chassis and schematic used in this model is also used in models 1725, 7065, 7103 and 7115.
Catalog States: Tuning down to 170 meters, the "Challenger" can get POLICE CALLS in many locaities. Furnished in a six-leg high-boy cabinet of attractive appearance, gracefully shaped front. Top of sliced walnut veneer. Figured oriental side front panels and matched butt walnut instrument panel. Balance of cabinet of rich walnut finish.
