The Sears Silvertone 1917 is an AC operated 10 tube BC, Police and SW band receiver.
Band Frequency Ranges are as follows (From Catalog):
BC Band (Band A).............535-1625kHz
Police Band (Band B)........1.625-5.325MHz (1.62 to 5.4 MHz from Sears Service Manual)
SW Band (Band C)............5.3-16.8MHz (5.4 to 16.7 MHz from Sears Service Manual)Has RF stage, two IF stages and push-pull output stage. Also has sensitivity control. Production changes made as listed in Sears Service Manual include changing 78 RF tube to 6K7, changing modulator tube from 78 to 6L7 and changing oscillator tube from 76 to 6C5. Chassis and schematic used in this model also used in models 1967, 1967A and 1967C.
