The Sears Silvertone 1998 is an AC operated 7 tube BC and SW band receiver. Has push-pull output stage. An optional wavetrap was available for receivers located near airports using transmitters operating at or near the 262kHz IF frequency. Early versions of this model did not have circuit changes to reduce hum when tone control was in bass position.
