• The Silvertone model 4425 is the same as model 4424, except this model 4425 is using a 2 Volt "A" storage battery (No. 437) and a plug adaptor instead of the 1N1 automatic battery economizer. For details see schematic. Both models cover broadcast 545 to 1720 kHz, long waves (weather band) 220 to 400 kHz and short waves 5.6 to 17.5 MHz. Long waves are quite unusual for US models.
