  • The Sears 8201 is a battery operated portable AM receiver.  Employs Qty(5) Si and Qty(2) Ge transistors (Ge for audio). No Civil Defense marks on dial.  Uses Qty(1) Sears Silvertone 6422 9V mercury battery.

    Even though the cabinet front reads "Solid State 6", which implies 6 transistors, there are actually 7 transistors.  Possibly one transistor is used as the detector.
