  • The Sears Silvertone 1949 is a 6V battery operated 5 tube BC band car radio.  Uses Vibrator to generate the B+ voltage.  Has Bias cell. Chassis and schematic used in this model also used in model 7167.

    See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc. This model was manufactured for Sears by Corona Radio and Television Corp., Chicago, Ill (Sears Manufacturer Source Number Code 104).

    There is also a different Sears Silvertone 1949 car radio model from the same year, from the same manufacturer and has the same tube line-up!! The schematic of this model is slightly different.
