  • The Sears Silvertone 1949 is a 6V battery operated 5 tube BC band car radio.  Uses Vibrator to generate the B+ voltage.  Has Bias cell. Chassis and schematic used in this model also used in model 7167.

    There is also a different Sears Silvertone 1949 car radio model from the same year, from the same manufacturer and has the same tube line-up!! The schematic of this model is slightly different.
