The Silvertone "Table Radio-Phonograph" models 1040 and 1045 with chassis 528.194 are AC-DC operated AM superheterodynes with a 3 speed automatic record changer for 7", 10" and 12" records. Smooth silent "Floating Action" changing mechanism, ceramic phonograph cartridge with "long-life all-purpose" needle. For service information on record changer unit - see similar V-M model 950 (Photofact set 107, folder 13 or record changer manual CM-3). Broadcast reception 540 to 1600 kHz. Built in "Radionet" antenna. Variable tone control. The differences between model 1040 and 1045 are the cabinet: 1040 (57G01040) has a brown plastic cabinet, but 1045(L) (57G01045L) and 2046(L) (57G02046L) are in wood with a slightly different scale than the plastic version. 1045L and 1045 are in Mahogany and 2046L and 2046 are the same in "Limed Oak". The L might indicate a later version.
