  • The Sears Silvertone 4229 is a battery operated 13 transistor portable AM/FM/SW receiver.  AM band frequency tuning range is 535-1630kHz.  FM band frequency tuning range is 88-108MHz.  SW band frequency tuning range is 6-18MHz.Uses Qty(8) 1.5V "D" type batteries. Has push-pull output stage and earphone jack that disconnects the speaker for private listening. Also has tuner output jack. Cabinet is charcoal with silver metal grille and gold colored dial area.  AM, FM and SW all have RF gain stage.
