Sharp Model BX338 8 Transistor Portable
An 8 transistor receiver with 2-band superhet system equipped with germanium diode and thermistor. Has increased tuning range, operates from four 1.5V (AA) penlight dry batteries. Highly sensitive built-in ferrite core and built rod antenna.
Features: Vernier style dial for easy short wave tuning, 2½" speaker.
Tuning range: B/C 535-1605 KC (kHz), S/W 3.9 -12 MC (MHz) jacks for earphone, ext. power source and antenna.This model sold in Australia between 1960 & 1962 for £40/19/-.
