Sharp Model BZ606
Portable, ten transistor four-band radio with superheterodyne system.
Tuning range: MW 530- 1650 kC/s (kHz). SW1 1.6 - 4.3 MC/s (MHz). SW2 3.9 - 12 MC/s (MHz). SW3 12 - 26.5 MC/s. (MHz). Intermediate frequency 455 kC/s (kHz). Max. output 700 mW, no distortion 430 mW.
Power source: four UM-1 (1.5V D Cells) batteries or equivalent. Can be converted to AC operation by using Sharp EP-6 AC adaptor or equivalent. Speaker: 5⅛" x 3½" oval, permanent dynamic. MR-1A low impedance magnetic earphone.Incorporates a tuning indicator meter called a "Radicator" connected to the collector of the mixer via an IF transformer and diode.
This model sold in Australia between 1963 & 1967 for £51/9/- ($102.90 after 14/2/1966). Price includes batteries.
