• Das Modell Shure M 44  gehört zu den ältesten Shure-Magnet Tonabnehmern, es ist relativ robust  und preislich als Einsteiger-System („to fill the need of the hifi-hobbyist who wants the most for his money“) geführt.  Heute wird das Modell M 44-7noch für das sog. scratching in Discotheken etc. verwendet. Im Braun PCS 5 (mit dem sog. Braun-Tonarm) wird der Tonabnehmer M 44-7 in den späten Modellen 1965 – 1966 verbaut.  (Quelle:  Braun Service-Unterlagen PC 5/ PCS 5/ PCS 51/ PCS 52 für die Fertigungsjahre 1962 -66). Das Modell M 44-7 wird aktuell (Stand Sept. 2014) noch als Neuware angeboten, Preis etwa 70 €.
