    So far investigation of the circuitry has revealed that all heater elements of the valves are connected in series needing consequently 9V (or 8.5V) battery for portable operation. In all various AC/DC mains operation, heater and anode voltages are created with complex looking resitor networks. For AC mode there is a selenium rectifier.
