  •  The Solartron LW.1080 portable instrumentation tape system is a fully portable magnetic tape recorder which can be powered from aircraft supplies, from batteries, or from AC mains.  Its performance is equivalent to that of larger machines and has been built to a rugged specification which enables it to withstand very stringent environmental conditions, designed to operate between the limits of -50° to +50° and at altitudes up of 70,000 ft and in conditions of up to 95 per cent relative humidity.
