- Notes
- 23" Television with VHF/UHF-Tuner. The VHF tuner drives an additional mechanism which operates three switches on the IF panel by an arrangement of rods. On the front below the CRT are four unlabelled rotary controls, four unlabelled rectangular push-on/push-off switches and the tuning scale for the UHF tuner. Also there's a "Sondyna" badge on the left and an "Automatic" badge on the right. On the left side panel is the speaker. On the right side is a triple-concentric control; the outer section operates the UHF tuner, the middle one is the 12-channel VHF tuner and the inner one is fine tuning for VHF. There's a relay on the IF panel; and another in the line timebase circuitry for selection of 625 or 819 lines.
IF/video panel: 2 x EF183, 3 x EF184, PCL84, ECH83, ECC82, PCF80
AF/TB panel: 3 x PCF80, 2 x PCL85, ECH83, PF86, PCL86, ECC82
Line o/p 'cage': PY88, PL500, DY87
VHF tuner: PCF86, PCC189
UHF tuner: PC86, PC88
The CRT is an Adzam AW59-91W, which interestingly has a curved glass implosion shield. The chassis is a Philips TX351A/16B, used for Philips model Philips 23TX380A but there are differences - for example the Philips manual lists the VHF standards as N, F and B, meanwhile this set does E, F and B (Countrie-Codes Europe, France Belgium). Band F ist AM sound, E is FM-sound.
