  • The radio without the letter W is for domestic use, whereas the set with the letter W is for export use. NSB could mean National Short Band. As shown in the pictures, there are several differences with the model ICF-S5W.  W could mean "rest of the World" or "Wide FM" since in Japan the range of commercial FM band is 76-95 MHz (previously 76-90 as with this model).
