  • Stereo Power Amplifier, TA-N86

The TA-N86 power amplifier is a powerful and technically advanced audio amplifier offering superior performance.

Each stage of the TA-N86 employs a DC amplifier, and by using matched pairs of transistors, a considerably better temperature characteristic and stable operating point under all signal conditions is obtained.

The differential amplifier uses no coupling capacitors and is well-suited for the amplification of low frequencies.

Pulse techniques are utilized in the power supply section, which by reducing the weight of the power supply components, contribute to an overall weight reduction, as well as furnishing a highly regulated power source under all conditions of signal input or line voltage fluctuation.

The TA-N86 employs a newly-developed Hi-fT transistor with excellent linearity at high frequencies and high current levels. This transistor greatly reduces switching distortion at high frequencies.

In addition, the TA-N86 includes a three-stage differential amplifier in the voltage-amplifier section and a three-stage Darlington configuration in the power-amplifier section all of which aid in providing superior distortion characteristics.

Each circuit of the right and left channels is individually laid out. This contributes to excellent channel separation.

The TA-N86 can be operated as a class A amplifier, a class B amplifier, or a mono amplifier by means of the Operation Switch.
