- In April 1956 SONY produced the TR-5 similar to TR-55. The TR-55 has its ear socket at the rear and shows small metal catches on rear cover. But the TR-5 shows the socket for the earphone on the side. The pictures and the circuit diagram shown are of a late version of the TR-5 and were published in "RADIO UND FERNSEHEN" Heft 21/1957 p.664
