Wide range (100 kHz - 48 MHz or 87 MHz) absorption wavemeter supplied in a wooden carrying case with 9 plug-in coils, calibration charts, spare HL2 valve and 1.5v battery. Accuracy +-0.5%.
The valve is used as a diode, the grid and anode being connected.
Slow motion dial with vernier scale. Resonance indicated by 250 microamp meter. Battery test switch.
UK Admiralty Pattern 53059, Type G92.
In some units the A coil, covering 100-200 kHz, was substituted by an AA coil, covering 40-87 MHz.
