- Star Manufacturing Company - Star Crystal Receiver. The wave length range with a standard amateur antenna of 250 micro-farads capacity is from 150 to 750 meters. The tuning coil is wound on a treated cardboard tube 2 1/2" in diameter for a length of 4 5/8", heavy gauge enamel wire. The end supporting pieces are of vulcanized fibre. This set received the seal of approval from Radio News magazine in 1922. This set was identical to the Hamburg brothers crystal set which was likely produced for Hamburg by this company.
