STC "Commander" Mark II Combination TV-Stereo Radiogram
A 23" remote controlled TV receiver combined with stereo radiogram.
Television features: aerial input 300 ohms or 75 ohms. 18 valves, five germanium and two silicon diodes. Polaroid screen. Keyed AGC, noise gated sync. separator, high gain four-stage IF amplification, high gain frame-grid 13 channel cascode tuner. AGC restored two-stage video amplifier. Loudspeakers: two 9" x 6" elliptical and two 6" round.
Radio chassis: seven valves using multi purpose tubes. A stage of RF amplification is used for high order selectivity. Tuning range: M/W 530 - 1,620 kC/s (kHz). S/W 4.75 - 16.2 MC/s (MHz).
Audio amplifier: two channel stereo units, 4W output per channel. Distortion 7%. Ganged balanced control.
Tone controls: bass boost and cut, treble boost and cut for each channel.
Record changer: Garrard Type 210 with Acos ceramic cartridge Type 81-2 with diamond LP/stereo stylus.
Cabinet with cabriole legs. Finishes available in Walnut, Maple & Mahogany.
