  • Stellavox SP7 C is a Professional Tape Recorder using magnetic tape of ¼” width. It supports reels of 5” of diameter (10” ¼ of diameter with the accessory ABR).

    Recorder SP7 is a modular recorder where electronic modules and head block can be easily changed. Mono and stereo recorders can be made with the same basic structure. Frequency response is flat (± 2 dB between 30 Hz and 16 kHz). Some versions have a better upper frequency response (Stellamaster SM7 reaches 28 kHz). Mono versions have a S/N of 70 dB. Recorder SP7 is within a case made of a machined block of aluminum. This recorder was an alternative to Nagra tape recorders; in a smaller shape and with an equivalent state of art mechanics and electronics. SP7 have 4 tape speeds (ranging from 9,5 cm/s to 76 cm/s),  extremely well controlled by an electronic servo system. The recorder uses an interchangeable head block where heads and biasing control circuitry is mounted. The head block presented in the pictures is optimized for the tape speed of 19 cm/s.     Das portable Tonbandgerät Stellavox SP7 C basiert auf dem 1969 vorgestellten Grundmodell SP7. Durch auswechselbare Kopfträger für monophone (optional mit Neo-Pilotton für filmtonsynchrone Aufnahmen) oder Stereo-Aufnahmen einsetzbar. Der Verstärkerteil ist zweikanalig ausgeführt. Die Elektronik ist grösstenteils in auswechselbaren Steckmodulen enthalten. Die Entzerrung und Vormagnetisierung wird im Kopfträger eingestellt. Aussteuerungskontrolle kanalgetrennt mit Doppel-Modulometer. Spulengrösse max. 13 cm, mit dem Zubehör ABR (375,-DM) lassen sich 10" Spulen verwenden.

    Die SP7 wurde im Jahr 1977 durch die verbesserte Ausführung SP8 abgelöst.
