The Stewart Warner model 1691 uses chassis R169. According to Rider's 8-11 of November 1936 is that the same chassis as R-172 but without "Tuning Eye Indicator". Tuning range is from 525 kc to 18.1 mc. The same documentation is shared by models 1691 to 1695 (with R-169) and models 1721 to 1729 with chassis R-172. They also call the family "model R-182-X" (with Phonograph toggle switch, Power transformer 100-240 volts 25-133 cycles, fuse and phonograph terminal strip). There is a 8 inch (R-247-A) or a 12 inch dynamic speaker (R-248-A), depending on the model. Stein mentiones 6 tubes but only broadcast plus one short wave.
