  • The "Big Ben" panel "No 3" consists of a bakelite panel supported on 4 brass legs with two 4-pin sockets, a rheostat located under the panel with a knob above the panel, as well as a fixed capacitor under the panel.  The front 4-pin socket is for a valve while the rear 4-pin socket is for various "Big Ben" components such as "Cond & Leak" or an "L.F. Transformer".  The top panel is engraved with the "Big Ben" logo and "No 3" as well as "Valve Here" on either side of the front 4-pin socket.  There are binding posts on all sides except the front and all metal hardware is gold lacquered brass.
