6-valve superhet covering broadcast and short-wave with special bandspread dial & push-pull audio output.
Cabinet: Walnut veneer console with a hinged front on the left carrying the record-changer and on the right the radio unit. There are two record storage spaces on each side of the speaker opening.
Pick-up: An astatic turnover type with the new ceramic element. Fitted with sapphire needles.
Record Changer: A Stomberg-Carlson 'Velvet Action' type 104 for all three speeds.
Controls: Tuning, volume control, tone control, gram-radio switch, and short-wave switch.
One chassis is known with a set of 6AQ5s in the pushpull output stage in place of the 6M5s. The modification appears to be factory manufactured and may be an earlier version. The bias circuit is modified from the AORSM schematic.
Should more information come to light we may have to propose a new model.
