Although this radio uses a power transformer it only supplies the valve heaters and dial lights. The 6X4 is connected as a half wave rectifier and rectifies the mains directly. The chassis is connected to one side of the mains and may be "live". We do NOT always state such cases - since often the uploader does not know.
