  • Shape
  • Very small Portable or Pocket-Set (Handheld) < 8 inch.
  • Notes
  • From the 1960 advertisement:

"Triplett Model 690-A Transistor Tester is a rugged, small, easily portable unit. Battery operated. It provides Leakage and Gain tests for all low and medium power PNP and NPN type transistors. Also checks diodes for forward and leakage current. A single switch is provided for simplicity in selecting transistor type settings. The OFF position prevents drain on the batteries in case of accidentally shorting the leads. Another operating feature is the use of separate "Calibrate" and "Gain" buttons to eliminate errors. A transistor socket and a set of external leads are provided for use with any basing arrangement."

Earlier model is the Triplett 690.
