Here's a set you can easily build, and one that will give you the utmost return in satisfactory service. For a four-tube job, it's a marvellous performer. On test, using just an ordinary aerial installation, good daylight reception was obtained from all main NZ Stations, including 1YA. In the evenings many Aussie, and B class N.Z. Stations were logged at full speaker strength.
The circuit of the "EXELRAD" AUSTRALASIA 4 was designed by our technical staff, with a view to providing a set which, without being costly, would provide excellent reception, good tone, and all-round pleasing performance. The resulting set is actually away ahead of expectations, and we have no hesitation about recommending it to readers requiring an easily built job that will be a pleasure to own.
The kit comprises 4 tubes used in a special reflex superheterodyne circuit. Components are all of the highest quality obtainable, ensuring lasting satisfaction and utmost economy.
Price £9/12/6 complete with valves and speaker.
