    Believed to be designed & built by Reginald "Jack" Orbell, Radio Ltd's renowned design engineer who brought it with him when he joined Radio Ltd in 1927.

    Orbell used one of these sets when he accompanied Admiral Richard E Byrd on his first Antarctic expedition in 1929.
