    Note that the label states that the device was imported from Japan for Import Istributors(sic) of America.  The December 26, 1960 issue of Billboard magazine (page 19) has an announcement that a compact transistorized Hilton tape recorder was being distributed by Import Distributors of America, and that the importer was Masuyuma International Corporation of New York - a division of Global Manufacturing Ltd., Tokyo.  So it is possible that Global is the manufacturer of this earlier device.
