    Some technical details

    This observations were taken from a unit with a PCB identified as "MODEL:6106 REV:01 USE:FR4 T1MM 2019 01 15".

This model was designed around the KT Micro KT0932 (U1 in the PCB) DSP AM / FM Stereo Receiver with built-in MCU and Class AB amplifiers able to drive earphones. This chip features analog-like tuning by using a 20K potentiomer (VR2 in the PCB) for band scan. On this radio model, soft-muting was enabled during station scan.

Available with either white or black case.

Note: KT Micro produces two versions of the KT093x(M) series. The KT093x features FM Stereo on a SMD 20-pin package. The KT093xM features FM Mono on a SMD 16-pin package. Therefore the package pinout is incompatible between the KT0932 and the KT0932M.

One 24C02N (U2 in the PCB) 2kbit serial EEPROM is used by the KT0932 to initialize its operation mode with configuration data stored beforehand in this EEPROM.

The dual channel audio output of the KT0932  is then passed to audio amplifier stage with selectable BBS (bass reinforcement) supported by one 358A dual operational amplifier (IC1 on the PCB) and one LPA4809M (U4 in the PCB) unity gain stable audio power amplifier to drive the earphones.
