Mr. Zenonas Langaitis passed this information to us:
The tube lineup of the receiver Baltika RZ-1
In 1948 a new tube designating system was decided in the Soviet Union.
But experts rejected this system as being confusing, so it became withdrawn and later replaced by a new system.
Although never any tubes were produced under these designations, these tube designations are mentioned in the schematic diagram of the receiver VEF Baltika RZ-1 as well as on its back cover.
The tube lineup of the receiver Baltika RZ-1 is in the octal- "single-ended" and GT- technology, which was just newly introduced in the Soviet Union then.
The tubes were produced just at the time, as the planned tube designating system was rejected and a new system was not yet assigned. As an interim solution they became designated with their original American type designations 6SA7, 6SK7, 6SQ7 and 6V6GT.
Both types 6e5 and 5z4s were already available then and retained their previous designations.
It's unknown by now, whether the planned rectifier tube 5ВХ1 (5vh1) differed from the previous 5Ц4С (5z4s).
In the new system the designation for the Magic Eye tube 6E5 (6e5) has been assigned to 6E5С (6e6s)
