Das Gerät dient u.a. der bildsynchronen Tonaufzeichnung und basiert auf einem Uher 4200 Report Stereo IC, in das zusätzlich ein Microcontroller vom Typ 8051 mit EPROM HN 462716 und 1 x CD4093BE, 1 x 74LS14, 1 x 28pol. unbekannt, 1 x XP2211CP, 1 x CA3140T, 1 x 4N37, 1 x BC328-40, 1 x BC128 und 1 x BD135-16 verbaut wurden.
Batteriebetrieb, aber Akku-Speisung durch Dryfit Akku Z212 oder NiCd-Akku Z214 möglich.
Über einsetzbares oder extern anschliessbares Netzgerät statt Akku/Batterie direkt aus dem Netz 110/220V betreibbar (z.B. Netzanschluss- und Ladegeräte aus der Uher Z124-Reihe).Siehe auch Modell S642 (ohne Suffix MP).
